April 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the April 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop!

Love being part of this blog hop as it pushes me to come up with new ideas based on a certain theme each month. This month’s theme is a colour challenge!

As soon as I seen this colour combo and I had been enjoying making my own backgrounds lately, I knew this would work perfectly with the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set out of the Occasions Catalog! As well in our color challenge, we had to use a minimum of 3 out of the 5 colours.

Here is my card:

For this card, I used a Berry Burst Cardstock base, on which I layered a piece of Powder Pink Cardstock. Before adhering the Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped a bunch of different flowers from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and coloured them in using Aqua Painters and Ink Refills (Wild Wasabi, Powder Pink and Berry Burst).

For the Happy Birthday sentiment, I used Basic Black Ink to stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock, layered on top of Powder Pink Cardstock and Berry Burst Cardstock. Then, adhered this all to the card.

Overall, a very simple card to make but definitely lots of fun and can made using all sorts of different colour combinations (which I absolutely love).

A Birthday Daisy – March 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the March 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is “Birthdays”! For this theme, I decided to use the Delightful Daisy Suite, which can be found on page 126 and 127 of the annual catalog. Click HERE to look at the annual catalog.

Here is my card for this month’s blog hop! Hope you all like it!

To make this card, you will require:

  • Daisy Delight Stamp Set (pg. 127 of Annual Catalog)
  • Perennial Birthday Stamp Set (pg. 16 of Occasions Catalog)
  • 1 piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock measured at 5-1/2″ by 4-1/4″
  • 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock measured at 5-5/16″ by 4-1/16″
  • 1 piece of Whisper White Cardstock measured at 7/8″ by 3″
  • 1 piece of Whisper White Cardstock measured at a minimum of 2-1/2″ by 5″ (can be a scrap piece of paper)
  • 3 different pieces of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper measured at 5-1/8″ by 1-7/32″
  • A Calypso Coral Ink Pad
  • A Night of Navy Ink Pad
  • Daisy Punch
  • Banner Triple Punch
  • Clear Faceted Gems
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue or SNAIL Adhesive

Here is how to make the card:

  1. Fold the piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock in half.
  2. Glue one of the biggest pieces of Whisper White Cardstock on the front and one on the inside of the card.
  3. Using the Banner Triple Punch, punch the end of the 3 piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Adhere them to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. On the left side of the small piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set using the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Adhere this to the center of the card, aligning it all the way to the left.
  5. On the scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the daisy image from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set twice using the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Punch both of these daisies out using the Daisy Punch and adhere them together. Then, adhere the daisies to the front and center of card, to the right of the “Happy Birthday” sentiment.
  6. Place one of the clear faceted gems in the center of the daisies.

Here are a couple close-ups of the card to see a little more of the details.

That’s it! All done! A fairly simple but pretty birthday card.

A Little Love – Colour INKspiration #27

Welcome to my blog!

I am very excited and honoured to be a guest designer for the Colour INKspiration Challenge #27!

Here is our challenge for the 27th Colour INKspiration:

For this challenge, I chose a “LOVE” theme as it being the middle of February with Valentine’s Day coming soon. Here is the card that I came up with:

For this card, I used the 4 different colours: Powder Pink, Melon Mambo, Pool Party and Island Indigo along with 2 neutral colours: Whisper White and Smoky Slate.

For the base of the card, I used Island Indigo Cardstock. On top of the base, I layered a piece of Pool Party Cardstock. On top of the Pool Party layer, I layered a Whisper White Cardstock which was embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and sponged using Smoky Slate.

For the heart, I used Powder Pink and Melon Mambo Cardstock. The heart and flowers were cut out using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits. In the center of the flower, I placed Rhinestone Basic Jewels Embellishments.

For the sentiment, I stamped the banner and the “LOVE YOU” sentiment in Melon Mambo on Powder Pink Cardstock. Using the Large Number Framelits, I cut out the banner.

Loving Panda – Kre8tors Blog Hop

For this blog hop with Kre8tors, our theme was using the Sale-A-Bration products. My absolute favourite stamp set in the current Sale-A-Bration catalog is the Party Panda Stamp Set!

Here is my card:

To make this card, I used Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Whisper White Cardstock. The two pieces of Designer Series Paper are Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper Pack out of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.

The Bermuda Bay card base is 5-1/2″ by 4-1/4″ folded in half. The Calypso Coral first layer measures at 5-5/16″ by 4-1/16″. The Whisper White layer measures at 5-2/16″ by 3-7/8″.

The Bermuda Bay Designer Series Paper measures at 1″ by 3-7/8″ and is placed at 1/2″ from the edge of the Whisper White Cardstock. The Calypso Coral Designer Series Paper measures at 2″ by 3-7/8″.

Stamp the panda holding the envelope from the Party Panda Stamp Set on a piece of 1-3/4″ by 2-3/8″ Whisper White Cardstock using the Archival Basic Black Ink Pad. Adhere this to a piece of 1-15/16″ by 2-9/16″ of Calypso Coral Cardstock and then to a piece of 2-1/8″ by 2-6/8″ of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.

Using a piece of scrap Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped the banner from the Number of Years Stamp Set using the Archival Basic Black Ink Pad and inside I stamped the sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set using the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Cut out this banner using the banner framelit from the Large Numbers Framelits using the Big Shot. Adhere the banner to the card using the Mini Dimensionals.

That’s it! The card is made!

A Truly Tailored 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I am very excited to be part of fun blog hop along my fellow demonstrators. This month’s theme is all about the Occasions Catalog which just launched on January 3rd! Here is my project below:

For this project, I used the True Gentleman Suite in the 2018 Occasions Catalog! This is one of my favourite suite/stamp sets in the new catalog with it being tailored toward men.

To make this card, my base is made of Night of Navy Cardstock, topped with Tranquil Tide Cardstock and follow by Very Vanilla Cardstock. The Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide designer paper are from the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper Pack.

Using the Truly Tailored Stamp Set, I used the “Wishing You A Dapper Day” stamp along with the bow stamp in Night of Navy ink on the largest square of the Stitched Shapes Framelits in Very Vanilla Cardstock. The Very Vanilla square was layered on top of a Tranquil Tide square which is layered on top of a Night of Navy square.

After gluing the Very Vanilla rectangle on top of the Tranquil Tide rectangle, I glued the two different designer series paper pieces onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. Then, I wrapped the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon around this piece of cardstock. I, then, made a bow out of the same ribbon and glued it on the ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.

Then, I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the previously glued square to the rectangle and regular Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the rectangle to the Night of Navy card base.

And that’s it! A beautiful truly tailored card for that special dapper someone!
